It's not ok to wear this...even on vacation
Betty: Not to be picky... but these pants shouldn't be seen outside of Florida, or off the cruise ship.
Wilma: OMG, the shoes. I know tennis shoes are comfortable but nothing screams "American tourist" more than white tennis shoes.
Betty: WOW, now he is really supporting his team. What's scary is that I spotted this guy in a plaza in Spain. All the travel guides tell Americans to dress down, go conservative and low key to avoid being pegged as an American. This guy, puts it out there like he just doesn't care. Frankly, I think the company that made this shirt should get a fine from the bad taste department.
Wilma: It's one thing to wear a team shirt to a sporting event but this is ridiculous. And ugly. Very, very ugly.

You are totally right...Americans do wear weird clothes...they do not match them!! it is very easy to know which tourists are Americans. I fou nd yor blog by chance...good luck!
I'll grant that he could well be American, but people in non-English-speaking countries have been known to wear some pretty absurd garments with random English words on them--"MOVES" would certainly qualify.
I love trying to figure out what country people are from--and I think I tend to be very good at it.
